Assoc. Prof. Dr. BAMBANG SETIA NUGROHO, S.T., M.T.

The Dean of the Research Institute at Telkom University is responsible for endorsing and aligning the work programs of the Centers of Excellence (CoE) in research, innovation, business, and community engagement. The Dean evaluates the performance of each CoE based on its direction and focus, proposes and reviews adjustments to sub-focus areas and Research Focus Areas when necessary, and signs cooperation documents involving multiple CoEs. Ensuring that the Research Institute’s strategic planning is consistent with the university’s vision and mission, the Dean also coordinates with the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation as well as external institutions. In addition, the Dean formulates the vision, mission, strategies, and multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, or transdisciplinary programs of the Research Institute, in line with the National Research Master Plan and global trends. The Dean oversees, controls, and evaluates CoE activities, including budgeting, while developing strategies to achieve Management Contracts together with CoE Heads by considering available resources. Furthermore, the Dean collaborates with faculties to map resource needs, such as researchers and facilities, to support the CoEs effectively.
